A silver ring or item of jewellery which weighs under 7.78g does not need to be hallmarked.

The complete weight of metal, including base metal which is relevant. Stones or leather etc don’t contribute to the hallmarking weight.

I can have items under 7.78g hallmarked for your peace of mind ,however this will be reflected in the price.

All items over 7.78g will be hallmarked in accordance with the current legislation , I can usually work out the finished price from the dimensions of the item to be made.
